Data Center Expert 7.9.1
A software update is available from DCE 7.9.0. For earlier versions please contact Tech Support.
DCE 7.9.3 addresses an issue where discovered devices disappear after an uncontrolled server shutdown.
It is recommended that you update your DCE server to avoid encountering this issue, preferably to the most recent version.
IMPORTANT: Do not reboot the server during the update.
The Data Center Expert 7.9.1 update performs a data migration that takes under an hour for most systems. The update can take longer if the system has thousands of devices and years of history. You can see the status of the update on the Data Center Expert web client Home page.

USB Key generators
Windows
- After downloading the restore iso file above, insert a 2GB (or larger) USB key into your system.
- Extract Windows USB key Generator to a temporary directory.
- Open a command prompt to the temporary directory and run mkDCExpertRestoreUsbKey.bat <iso image filename>.
- Example: mkDCExpertRestoreUsbKey.bat c:\tmp\restore-7.9.1.83.iso
- Answer the prompts as appropriate.
Linux
- After downloading the restore iso file above, insert a 2GB (or larger) USB key into your system.
- Extract Linux USB key Generator to a temporary directory.
- Open a command prompt to the temporary directory and run mkDCExpertRestoreUsbKey.sh <iso image filename>.

- Answer the prompts as appropriate.
